Folded away, it stops taking up room
⌃⌥K folds a shot into a small symbol, and a shot left alone folds itself. Click it and it comes back exactly as it was.

How it works
Fold it yourself, or let it fold itself
Press ⌃⌥K, or use a corner button, and it folds right now. Left untouched for a minute it folds on its own, and you set that minute in Settings. The folded glyph drifts slowly in place, so you know something is still there without it covering what you're reading.
Click it and it comes right back
Click the symbol and the shot restores to exactly how it was before folding — size, position, opacity, even annotations. Folding isn't closing, just stepping back for a moment, so bringing it out again costs next to nothing.
Symbol and motion, your way
Pick a symbol from the list or lock it to one, and the color can follow your accent color or cycle randomly. If the motion bothers you, turn it off and the glyph stays still. When there are several shots on screen, only the ones you're not looking at shrink on their own, so the one you're reading stays readable.
When you'd use it
A reference for later, not right now
It folds up while you work, and comes back with one click when you need it.
A screen full of shots
