Every feature, explained

Thirteen things Floatie does. The parts that don't fit on one card.

01 · capture Draw it, and it floats Drag anywhere on screen. The shot rises right where you drew it, with a soft shadow, and stays over your work until you close it. A 5× magnifier lines up the edges pixel by pixel. 02 · corner buttons Four corners, four actions you choose Every shot comes with four buttons attached. Choose what each one does — Ghost, Pin, Edit, OCR, Shrink, Flip Horizontal, Remove Background, Image Playground, Color Picker, Cute Float, Copy Link, Share, or Close. 03 · drag out Drag it out, or just ⌘C Drag a shot onto Slack, Finder, or Mail and it saves as a PNG. One click copies it. No save dialog, no export step. 04 · editor Mark it up right where it is Pen, line, arrow, rectangle, numbered callout, text, pixelation — blur or pixelate an email address before you send it. Six colors, adjustable line weight, and undo. Pick a tool and start drawing. 05 · text recognition The text inside is real text Pin the shot and drag over the text, and it lands right on your clipboard. Apple Vision recognizes English, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese, right on the device. 06 · opacity Scroll and it shows through Scroll the wheel over a shot and it gradually turns transparent. Trace a reference image, overlay two versions to compare them, or keep a spec doc floating over your work. 07 · remove background Cut out just the subject, keep the shot intact One click leaves just the subject, and everything else turns transparent — processed on-device with Apple Vision. Click again and the background comes back. Drag the cutout straight into Keynote, Slack, or a document. 08 · image playground Turn a shot into a new picture Send a floating shot to Apple's Image Playground. The result comes back as a new shot beside the original, and the original stays untouched. Requires macOS 15.2 or later with Apple Intelligence. 09 · scrolling capture Stitch a whole page Press ⌃⌥3 and scroll down through a long page, chat, or code file, and it stitches into one long shot. 10 · record Record, then trim Record a region, window, or the full screen as MP4. The recording opens as a floating preview, where you can trim, crop, and blur it before dragging it out. 11 · cute float For a while, a cute little icon Press ⌃⌥K or use a corner button to fold a shot into a small symbol. A shot left alone folds itself too, and clicking it brings it right back. 12 · history rail Closed isn't gone Move your cursor to the edge of the screen and the history rail appears. Every closed shot stays right there on the device, waiting — click a thumbnail to bring it back. 13 · link Send a link instead of a file Right-click a shot and copy the link. It uploads to floatie.page with a free account, and the link is on your clipboard before the menu closes — 7 days free, 30 days on Pro.
