Stitch a whole page

⌃⌥3 captures a region while you scroll and stitches the pieces back into one long image — vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.

How it works

0 frames

Floatie watches your first scroll and picks the direction itself.

Pick a direction and scroll
01

Set the region and scroll as usual

Draw a box over the scrolling area and move through it just like you're reading. Scroll up and down, or push sideways, and even a diagonal that moves both ways at once gets captured. Floatie figures out the direction from your first scroll, or you can set it in advance in Settings. There's no need to race an auto-scroller for speed — with a lazy-loading image or infinite scroll, just wait for it to appear before you keep going.

02

Find the overlap and stitch it

Instead of joining frames end to end, it matches the overlapping region and stitches there. That's why a repeated row never shows up twice, and a sticky header doesn't get captured ten times over. A fixed sidebar or scrollbar is detected separately and excluded from the seam calculation.

It finishes with the crop tool already open

The first and last frames usually capture a bit more than you wanted, so the result opens with the crop tool ready. Whether the result is tall, wide, or diagonally skewed, it's a single image. Content that changes while you scroll — animation, video, a live feed — has nothing stable to align to, though, so it can't be stitched.

When you'd use it

A whole article in one image

Capture while you read, and hand over one long PNG instead of six screenshots.

A long conversation history

Scroll through it and keep the whole conversation as one image.

A table that runs off screen

Every row in one image, with the header captured once instead of ten times.

Questions about this

Do I need to scroll at a set speed?

No. You control the scrolling yourself. Just go slower over sections that load late.

Does it work sideways or diagonally?

Yes. Up and down, left and right, and diagonal movement all stitch into a single image. Floatie reads the direction from your first scroll.

Why does it capture a bit more at the top and bottom?

The first and last frames usually capture a bit more than needed. That's why the result opens with the crop tool ready to go.
